Crewe Alexandra Supporters’ initiative are delighted to announce that local MPs, the Honourable Gwyneth Dunwoody, MP, (Crewe & Nantwich), Stephen O’Brien, MP, (Eddisbury) and Ann Winterton, MP (Congleton) have graciously accepted our offer to be honorary members of the initiative, and having been presented with their certificates have displayed them with pride in their offices.
Membership of the ASi brings numerous benefits, not least the opportunity to vote in our AGM, a unified voice and discounted admission to our social events! We are delighted that our political representatives have joined our group and we look forward to seeing them at future events, the next being our annual football tournament at The Peacock, Nantwich. This is closely followed by our annual cricket tournament, and we are pleased to further announce that a generous donation to the Macmillan Cancer Unit Appeal, LeightonHospital will be made from the proceeds of both events.
Whilst our honourable members have a responsibility to be your voice in Parliament, the ASi takes very seriously it’s responsibility to be your voice in representations with the football authorities in general and the football club in particular.
We were instrumental that this year’s FSF (Football Supporter Federation) Annual General Meeting and conference took place at Gresty Road, and we will continue to lobby all parties to ensure your views and opinions are heard throughout the game.
