Following concerns raised by our members about egress* from the Gresty Road end, we wrote to the club seeking clarification, and we are pleased to report these concerns are ill founded.

It was put to us that for all games this season, home fans in the Gresty Road End would be required to leave the ground using the exit adjacent to the Main Stand, and furthermore, that Gresty Road between South Street and Nantwich Road will be “closed” to home fans!
We wrote to Cliff Simpson the Stadium Manager seeking his reassurance that this was not the case. Cliff promptly responded to our letter, “Egress will be exactly the same as it has been for some years. Supporters in the Gresty Road stand will exit via Emergency Gate 2 situated next to the north end of the stand.” He went on to say, “The only alteration to those plans will be after consultation between myself and the Match Commander which has always been the case. The means of ingress and egress are laid down in the clubs safety certificate and can only be altered on points of safety and possibility of crowd disorder. This would be for games like Port Vale, Leeds etc.”
One of our stated objectives is to enhance communications by creating a regular two-way communication channel between supporters and club management in order to increase the sense of involvement, influence, partnership and belonging amongst fans.
We will continue to raise concerns, address issues, and ask questions on your behalf, however, the club does have a fans charter, and you are actively encouraged to approach the club direct.
