When Gresty met Santa.....
Despite the winter conditions forcing the postponement of the Torquay game, once again everyone enjoyed themselves at Crewe Asi's Christmas Party on Sunday, 20th December. As well as the traditional party games and magician, there were face painters in attendance, as well as Gresty, Santa, Dario, Steve and a number of players.
The attendance of the management team, including youth team coaches James Collins and Neil Critchley and the players, including goalkeeper Steve Phillips was most appreciated. Danny Shelly, Matt Tootle and Harry Davies helped out with the party games, whilst Mat Mitchel-King and Ashley Westwood made the prize draw. During which, one lucky lady walked away with both a DVD player and an iPod!
Santa also put in an appearance, ensuring all the children who attended received a "goody bag! Santa was duly assisted, not by an elf, but a lion. Gresty the Lion!
Santa is pictured holding one of the youngest attendees, young Macauley, resplendent in his replica Alex kit! Macauley not Santa! Macauley will be attending his first Alex game on Boxing Day. Weather permitting! Dario's first game of course was against Rochdale!
Events such as these are only possible with the kind help of sponsors, volunteers, and of course participants. Big thanks to everyone, especially;
